Cheltenham Festival

The Cheltenham Festival is the foremost jump racing festival in the world and takes place each year in March.  Horse Racing is the second largest spectator sport in Great Britain and dates back many centuries.  There are two main forms of horse racing in Great Britain:

Flat racing, run over distances without obstacles and, Jump racing, run over distances where horses jump fences, commonly known as steeple chasing.

As you arrive at London Heathrow Airport, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel to relax and get refreshed before a welcome supper at The King’s Head hotel.

The next day, enjoy Cheltenham’s Festival Betfred Gold Cup Day – the pinnacle of the four day event.  Spend the day with full hospitality with visits from key individuals in a luxury restaurant overlooking the track.

Get a rare and private stable visit to a world-class training yard with lunch at a famous local racing pub.  Meet with a trainer who not only trained a Gold Cup winner and a Grand National Winner, also rode the winners of the Cheltenham’s Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle when he was a jockey!

Your trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Britain’s foremost commercial stud farm to meet with one of the world’s leading bloodstock advisors who also has responsibility for overseeing Her Majesty, The Queen’s racing and breeding interests.

Enjoy a private stable visit and breakfast with a trainer of countless winners. This historic yard is home to top class racehorses that have won major races globally.  After a day with the racehorses, spend the afternoon relaxing with the owner of an award winning organic cheese farm.

Round out your trip with a morning visit and lunch with syndicate owners and their young and dynamic trainer.  In the late afternoon, partake in a private ‘behind the scenes’ tour of Ascot Racecourse followed by dinner with a key individual of Britain’s racing fraternity.
