Notgrove Manor is a beautiful 1,500 acre estate located in the Cotswolds. The estate is only 15 minutes away from the town of Cheltenham and 90 minutes away from London. The manor is a real family home where guests can experience life on an agricultural estate. The estate can sleep up to sixteen guests and offers a large private garden, a tennis court, and a swimming pool. The manor offers easy access to the Gatcombe Park Horse Trails (August 7-9 2015). Gatcombe Park is only 45 minutes from Notgrove Manor. The owners are keen equestrians who own the whole village of Notgrove.
Horses will be brought in for the guests to ride on the estate by a company called Stately Rides. They will bring horses to the estate and make sure the horses are matched to each rider’s ability. The owners and their relations own three large estates in the area, which allows the guest to explore the Cotswolds countryside on horseback.
A prime time to stay on the estate is during the annual Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, which is held from August 7th-9th. The Festival of British Eventing is host to the British Open, Intermediate, and Novice Championships. The festival also offers arena attractions, a shopping village, and overall great entertainment for the whole family.
There are many other great activities to enjoy in the Cotswolds area. This stunning part of rural England is home to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Another great location for the family to visit is the Cotswold Farm Park. The Cotswold Farm Park is home to a special collection of rare breeds of farm animals. The park is host to the United Kingdom’s largest privately owned zoological collection. Notgrove Manor is also the perfect location for day trips that the whole family can enjoy.
